Recovery Happens Event and Recovery Walk

California leads the nation in kicking off Recovery Month each year with the Annual Recovery Happens event on the west steps of the State Capitol in Sacramento. The California kickoff event is one of the longest-running, annual events in the recovery space and this year’s event promises to be bigger than ever with multiple organizations representing the California Coalition of Addiction Recovery Advocates (CCARA) coming together to converge at the Capitol to show the public and policymakers that recovery does happen and treatment works.

Pancake breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m.

Recovery walk and banner contest at 10:00 a.m.
